Even today, this institution plays an important role in helping the poor, the excluded and the marginalized of Montreal (Canada). Sisters visit and correspond with the elderly and neglected. Others work with organizations that help people in difficulty or they walk around Place Émilie-Gamelin to give food to the homeless. Some of these women have even been substitute mothers to children removed from their families.
